Unforgiving.

Just read a FB post about a handmade artist who copied another artist's work. I can say that her reputation is pretty much gone by now, from the content of the post and comments...

It's not that I support copycats for taking other people's designs and turning them into their own, but do people need to defame her so badly? ): From my perspective as a craft hobbyist, it's not very nice of the craft community to attack the person for just one mistake she made. I do feel very unhappy if i were to be the original designer, but i will take alternatives to let the person know that she's wrong and tell her what she should do, like give credits to the original artist, etc.

But I guess the society is just unforgiving, and it's true. Like my friend who edited one photo of her idol on Tumblr, got taken by someone else who took all the credits, she emailed her what she did was wrong, and ask her to take down the photo or give credits. I admire such attitude.

We don't have to go to being extreme.
