Thongudomporn

During geography class

I only sit and stare

Nothing much going through my head

Except thoughts and Henry's cool hair.

Later on, a teacher will knock

And say 'Girl, you were late again.

Report for detention next week, okay

You'll break the record once you hit ten.

"Tell me why you're late for school

Tell me why you always are?'

'I have sleeping problem,' I said

'Then fix it, if you want to go far.'

I try, I try, I really do,

But sometimes I can't get to sleep.

After rolling about in my little bed

I'll close my eyes, not taking a peep

Thus is the life of a Thongudomporn

Who's thirteen, cool and short.

Hopefully her kid will turn out different,

Perhaps smart, responsible and hot.
